Belmont Park – 8th race – 3-Shrinking Violet (5-1)

Hasn’t been out since early January but shows a string of strong workouts at Keeneland in recent weeks and should be fit and ready for a major effort in this six furlong listed turf sprint for fillies and mares.  The Ward-trained mare likes to settle and produce a late run and figures to get that kind of ride from Rosario. The daughter of Congaree loves to win, has a triple-digit Beyer to go back to and figures to be square price in race that features a logical short priced favorite in Lady Shipman.

Belmont Park – 9th race – 2-More Than Kisses (10-1)

First time starter in the Pletcher barn doesn’t catch a particularly strong field in this six furlong inner turf maiden special weight affair and should be plenty fit for a huge run first crack out of the box.  Showed good speed and athleticism when previewing at the OBS April sale last year and then brought $250,000 at auction, but finally makes it to the races a year later and looks capable of making up for lost time.  Certainly bred to love turf (More Than Ready), lands Johnny V., and is worth a gamble at anywhere close to her 10-1 morning line.
