Santa Anita – 1st race – 1-You Missed It

Juvenile filly makes her debut in this four and one-half furlong dash and has trained like cranked up to win at first asking for the Nyquist team of owner Paul Reddam, trainer Doug O’Neill, and jockey Mario Gutierrez.  Was very impressive previewing at the OBS March Sale where she breezed an eighth of a mile in a sizzling 9 4/5 seconds prior to being acquired at auction for $75,000.  Also has trained quite well since arriving in California, so if she can leave cleanly from the rail this daughter of Lookin At Lucky will be hard to beat.  At 4-1 on the morning line she’s a straight play and rolling exotic single.

Santa Anita – 3rd race – 6-Brookes All Mine (2-1)

Comebacker is waiver protected in this maiden $50,000 claiming Hillside turf sprint for fillies and mares and has trained like she’s fit and ready for a major effort in her first outing since finishing a strong second in her debut lat summer at Del Mar.  Was claimed out of that race for $40,000 but had to be stopped on; it appears she has returned at least as good if not better for new trainer Ray Bell.  With Rafael Bejarano in the saddle and in a field lacking in early speed, this daughter of It’s No Joke should be on or near the lead throughout. We’ll use her in the straight pool at or near her morning line of 2-1 and as a rolling exotic single.
