Belmont Park – 8th – 9-Take These Chains-Ire (2-1)

Graduated at first asking like a future star for Chad Brown, settling far off a slow pace to the head of the lane and then exploding with an eye-opening turn of foot too take control close home.  Gets an extra half-furlong to work with today and should thoroughly enjoy the long Belmont Park stretch as well.  Continues to impress in the a.m., retains Castellano, and looks tough to beat right back.

Churchill Downs – 6th – 9-Truthful (3-1)

From the first crop of Bodemeister, who already has sired a stakes winning filly, this promising juvenile has worked like she’s fit and ready for a win first time out of the box in t his competiive five and one-half furlong affair.  The outside post shouldn’t be an issue if she has the type of quality we believe she has.  Let’s go with this Steve Asmussen-trained miss in the straight pool and in rolling exotic play at anywhere near her morning line of 3-1.
