A pair of Bafferts here that have worked in company. Mirasol has the fitness advantage with the race under the belt but was very keen here to go on. Benedict Canyon looked loaded and restrained but had no response when roused so the edge here goes to experience. I also like the work from Infinite Empire (below) who was moving super well late though she looks like she might need an out with more ground.
Infinite Empire (5)
Speed Pass (3)
Well its hard to deny this one on paper and the work shows like he’s still good too despite the class plummet. Recent mates include Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit.
Forest Caraway (4)
Despite the fact that she hasn’t been two turns, Forest Caraway is bred to be able to handle it and I liked this work where she was much the best of her mate. Mate was 3rd this week in a juvenile Mdn 50 but she was kind to sit and had instant acceleration when roused.
Hit the Road (2)
Solid work on a not prefered surface for the returning Grade 1 winner. He likes Del Mar and he always fires fresh. That said, Mo Forza will be tough to feed off but he gets a jump. Have to use.
Runner up to Rombauer in the El Camino Real Derby, Javanica could not look any better than she has lately. She’s coming off a turf score locally here and te form was flattered. There’s a chance she gets a lone lead and if so is a threat to steal the race. Must use and should get a decent price.
