Smooth move here for a relatively consistent filly. She was really aching to run this am but restrained by her rider. Wide on the turn, she was quickly gaining ground on a target from another barn She gets to that mate who is under a drive and is best with no ask. She does get a bit friendly with the other horse (read: she doesn’t seem to want to blow on by) which is never great for an athlete with an 11-1-0-5 record but over all this work was good and I think you can chuck the last out. I will play with the 2 (lone speed possibility) and I’m considering the 6.
Mount Pelliar (9)
Good work from our old trainee who was asked but responded. He left the gate in a bit of a tangle allowing his company to take an advantage. Once he was ina rhythm, the rider began to push him along and he quickly closed the gap. A tap on the turn got him even and into his high cruising speed where he was able to maintain an advantage with no more ask, the rider even standing up while Ellingwood on the company continued to sit down and ride. He is in a good placement with some speed to stalk.
Chasin Munny (5)
Give Me the Lute (7)
I might just equip you with some turf works and let you fend for yourself here haha. Chasin Munny we got the tail end of a good move where he was already being eased down but looked super strong. Give Me the Lute is the trip horse with a love for 5 furlong races. This work was good, showing ease and a big stride to boot. Gregorian Chant has has flashed his talent at several distances but this will be the first go at 5 furlongs. I love this work where he made up a ton of ground with no ask and looked very for for his return.
