Ellis Park – 6th race – 9-Ever Special (5-1)

Makes her debut in a moderate maiden special weight mile affair scheduled for turf and looks well-placed for a major effort.  The Brad Cox barn has exceptional stats with first-time starters and this daughter of Archarcharch should be ready to fire after a string of strong, steady workouts.  She was especially impressive at the OBS April Sale during the previous session and then brought $90,000 at auction.  The barn’s go-to rider Johnson takes the call, so at 5-1 on the morning she’s a strong straight play and rolling exotic single.

Delaware Park – 10th race – 2-Browse (9/2)

Lightly-raced and improving daughter of Medaglia d’Oro missed as the favorite when a sharp second in the Our Mims Stakes in a prep for today’s Delaware Oaks but she’ll be adding blinkers today and the change in equipment should get her mind on business.  The Shug McGaughey-trained filly most likely will draft into an ideal pace-stalking positon and have every chance from there.  Three nice workouts since her last appearance are further evidence of an improving race horse.  At 9/2 on the morning line she offers value both in the straight pool and in exotic play.
